3DS

Nintendo has finally announced that the 3DS will be arriving in the UK on 25 March 2011.

The 3DS is the first 3D handheld console and the great news is you don't need to wear any silly specs to use it.

The console will be available in Aqua Blue and Cosmos Black. Some highlights from Nintendo's recent press conference:

10 percent larger screen than DSi
backwards compatibly with existing DS/DSi games
SD card slot
Gyro sensor (so you can tilt the 3DS to control games)
2 external cameras so you can take 3D photos (and save them to SD card)
Pedometer - Earn Play Coins & trade them in for new content in compatible games and applications
Street Pass feature to make it easier to connect, share and play with other 3DS friends
Eurosport 3D and Sky 3D partnerships coming soon to bring 3D sport to your handheld
Aardman partnership to bring exclusive Shaun The Sheep 3D short animations
25+ Games due out by June 2011

Nintendo have now confirmed the list of games that will be available for the launch day of the Nintendo 3DS. The list includes 15 titles albeit 3 are variations on the new Nintendogs & Cats game. Nintendogs & Cats along with Pilotwings Resort make up the only Nintendo releases with the rest coming from third party developers including EA, Ubisoft and Konami.
