Strategic bomber, tactical strike aircraft and reconnaissance plane - the F-111 filled these roles admirably for the US and Royal Australian Air Forces through several decades of service. This unique machine pioneered many technologies which were later to become commonplace on production aircraft, most notably its variable-sweep wings, afterburning turbofan engines and automated terrain-following radar.
This add-on featuring the USAF F-111A variant and the later F-111C model exported to the RAAF capture’s perfectly their power and destructive force. Both aircraft feature five liveries, highly detailed model-specific virtual cockpits, the distinctive F-111 variable wing swing and even a functioning cockpit ejection escape pod.
Variable-sweep wings are modelled with accurate flap, slat and wing glove operation - different wing angles have the appropriate effect on aircraft handling.
Ten high-resolution liveries – five USAF (F-111A) and five RAAF (F-111C).
Highly detailed model-specific virtual cockpits, each featuring an accurate Head-Up Display and authentic tracking, radar and radio equipment.
Cockpit selection panel for controlling aircraft ordnance – ejector racks, drop tanks, Sidewinder missiles and laser-guided bombs.
A functioning escape pod allows the pilot to jettison the cockpit in case of emergency.
Fully animated flying surfaces, landing gear, doors and hatches.
Accurate flight dynamics closely simulate the performance of the real aircraft.
Stereo sound set delivers the full force of the two Pratt & Whitney afterburning turbofan engines.
