For the first time, characters from popular Nintendo series join the fray, including Chrom and Lucina from Fire Emblem: Awakening and Fiora from Xenoblade Chronicles.
Manoeuvre your team members across the battlefield during your turn, positioning your units into advantageous locations to strike enemies from the side or behind for extra powerful attacks! In real-time combat, unleash a flurry of timed combos and special moves to inflict incredible damage on your enemies before they can even hit the ground! Pummel your opponents for as long as possible for maximum damage before your turn ends. Defeated enemies may drop useful items and any normal attacks you don’t use in battle will become charged, making them more potent in the next fight!
Link together a Pair Unit of two characters with a Solo Unit, consisting of a single character, to create powerful special attacks! Strike enemies at the same time to trigger a Cross Hit that will freeze adversaries and gain you more XP from combos. Link this with powerful moves that send foes flying to create a Cross Break to inflict enormous damage. When it’s the enemy’s turn, fear not! Fill up your Cross Power gauge during your turns with well-timed combos and harness your skill points to counter and defend against hostile attacks!
By levelling up your party, you can customise their skills, making their moves more effective in battle. Head to the shop to purchase stat-boosting gear and accessories for your characters, or buy consumable items to trigger temporary effects to give yourself a fighting chance on the frontlines.
