A very quick lowdown on today's Nintendo Partner Direct Showcase

Strap in, Collectors, because Nintendo just casually unleashed a Partner Showcase that was absolutely stacked with bangers for both the good ol' Switch and the shiny new Switch 2. If you thought your backlog was safe, you were dreaming.

The show kicked off with Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection for the Switch 2, continuing the spin-off series that started on the 3DS. It's due next year, and we'll definitely be keeping an eye on it.

We're getting a brand new Katamari game in Once Upon a Katamari, the ridiculously over-the-top Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero with motion controls, and a parade of heavy-hitters like Star Wars: Outlaws, Yakuza Kiwami 2, and Persona 3 Reload all making their way to the Switch 2.

Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles is looking phenomenal, bringing one of the best games of all time up to date for a new generation. But on top of that, there was further joy for JRPG fans with a glimpse of Octopath Traveler 0, which adds town-building to its gorgeous HD-2D world and turn-based battling. Not content with that, Square Enix also revealed a completely new action-RPG, The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, which looks delightful and reminds us a lot of classic Zelda.

Speaking of Zelda, we got a fresh look at Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, a Switch 2 exclusive that dives into the backstory of Tears of the Kingdom and will have playable Sages as well as the princess herself. Yes, please!

Some good stuff, then, and a few new reasons to be excited...wouldn't have minded Hades 2, mind.
